Alloy Entertainment and corporate sibling Warner Bros Pictures are teaming to develop Private, a feature film adaptation based on the Kate Brian’s bestselling YA book series, Deadline reports.

That series has spanned 14 books, two prequels and six books from Brian’s spinoff series Privilege via Simon & Schuster. Stacy Rukeyser, a writer/executive producer on the Lifetime series UnReal, has been set to adapt it.

Alloy first developed Private as a web series in 2009. The books revolve around 17-year-old Reed Brennan, who transfers to Easton Academy with dreams of a golden future. She soon learns there are dark secrets hidden behind the ivy-covered brick walls.

Les Morgenstein and Elysa Dutton of Alloy Entertainment Features will produce, and Julia Spiro will oversee for Warner Bros.

Alloy has several YA book-to-film projects in the works including bestsellers Blackbird from Anna Carey at Lionsgate and 13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson with another corporate sibling New Line.
