Private remittances from Russia and other countries to Armenia amounted to about $46,8 million in January 2015, a reduction of 13,7$ against the same period last year, the Central Bank of Armenia said Tuesday, March 1.
Remittances from Armenia to foreign countries stood at about $17,5 million in the reporting period against the $32 million remitted in December 2015.
Money transfers from Russia to Armenia in January fell to approximately $29,8 million, while remittances from Armenia to Russia increased to $12,5 million.
Remittances from Armenia to the United States and vice versa amounted to $859.000 and around $7,2 million, respectively.
