NKR Soldier Dies In The Result of Shootings From Azeri Side
On January 22, at 13.45 a.m. the Azeri subdivisions once more violated the cease-fire regime in the southern direction of the contact line of the Nagorno Karabakh and Azerbaijan armed forces near the settlement of Horadiz. As a consequence of the shots from the Azerbaijani positions serviceman of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic's Defense Army lance-corporal Mher Movsessyan got a fatal wound and died on the spot.
NKR Defense Ministry's press-service draws attention to the fact that recently similar actions of the Azerbaijani side have been exclusively aimed at the destabilization of the tense situation in the Karabakh conflict zone. The tragic incident of January 22 is the evidence of the fact that Azerbaijan's words on the necessity of settling the Nagorno Karabakh problem on the basis of peaceful principles and the real actions fundamentally differ.
By realizing that such a development of events is fraught with unpredictable consequences the Karabakh side strongly calls upon the official Baku to keep adherence to the cease-fire regime and do not expose to threat the regional security and peace.
