Armenia, Russia, Iran and Georgia will discuss in Tbilisi prospects for laying a joint electric power network, Russia's Izvestiya reported on Thursday, March 17.

Azerbaijan was initially expected to send a delegation to the April meeting, but Georgia's Energy Ministry told RIA Novosti that Azerbaijan will not participate in discussions, ARKA says.

“The meeting is, indeed, scheduled for April, but we can't name a specific date for now,” the Ministry's representative said.

Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak said earlier that Moscow intends to build nuclear power plants in Iran and electricity transmission lines with the country through Armenia and Azerbaijan.
