Azerbaijan shells Armenian border village, injures properties

Azerbaijani armed forces opened fire on the border village of Berkaber in Armenia’s Tavush province on Sunday, March 27.

According to village chief Artur Madatyan, Azeri troops shelled and damaged a VAZ-2106 car, belonging to a local resident, Radik Kocharyan.

The rival has also shot at houses and roofs.

On March 25, the Azerbaijani army opened fire on the village of Berkaber in Armenia’s Tavush province. The rival wounded a civilian, Norik Alikhanyan, also killing another villager's cow.

On March 26, at around 7:30 am, the rival used TR-107 rocket launchers to shell the Karabakh village of Taghavard, situated some 5 km deep behind the frontline. As a result, a civilian, 27-year-old Yervand Firyan was wounded while engaged in agricultural activities.
