Ellen DeGeneres’ "Finding Dory" reveals new characters, voice cast

Dory won't be alone when she embarks on another big adventure later this year. Disney-Pixar has just announced a number of new characters set to appear in the highly-anticipated "Finding Dory" and the actors who will voice them, AceShowbiz reports.

Ellen DeGeneres is of course back to reprise her role as the beloved blue fish from 2003's "Finding Nemo". Albert Brooks also returns as the clownfish Marlin while newcomer Hayden Rolence will voice his son, Nemo.

Joining them are new characters like an octopus with seven tentacles named Hank (Ed O'Neill), a whale shark called Destiny (Kaitlin Olson), a beluga whale Bailey (Ty Burrell) as well as Dory's parents Charlie (Eugene Levy) and Jenny (Diane Keaton).

Other actors in the star-studded cast include Idris Elba and Dominic West who voice lazy sea lions named Fluke and Rudder, Torbin Bullock who voices Becky the loon, and Bill Hader and Kate McKinnon who will make quick cameo as a fish couple Dory briefly meets.

"It really is a whole new chapter this time," director Andrew Stanton, who'll also be back as the voice of turtle Crush, said in a statement. "We're introducing new characters - each with his or her own unique voice. Everyone has something special to offer, which makes it fun and elevates the whole story. 'Finding Nemo' was a great calling card when it came to casting this movie. I don't take that for granted."

"Finding Dory" will swim into theaters across the U.S. on June 17. Taking place six months after "Finding Nemo", the sequel will follow the forgetful Dory as she tries to find her parents with the help of Marlin and Nemo.
