Renault revamps Captur for Russian, Armenian markets

The Renault Kaptur has been revealed as a new bigger take on the Captur SUV for the Russian market with four-wheel drive, Cars UK says.

The model starts production this summer in Moscow and is being offered just in Russia and the CIS countries, including Armenia, Belarus and Uzbekistan.

The Kaptur is bigger than its Captur sibling – 211mm longer, 35mm wider and 46mm taller – and has a wheelbase that’s 66mm longer too, Cars UK says.

Styling changes include longer back doors and a bigger side window in the cargo area, a wider grill with a big Renault logo, C-shaped LED driving lights, a re-profiled bonnet and new LED tail lights.

Inside, the Kaptur looks much like the Captur, but Renault has added a few extras to cope with harsh Russian weather including a heated windscreen, heated front seats and a remote start so owners can warm up the car before they arrive.
