Frank Ocean's producer reveals potential release date of 2nd album

His debut album, with all of its success, has left fans on a cliff hanger. But finally a follow-up is on the cards, with producer Malay saying to Pitchfork: “I always tell people: When he's ready, the world is gonna get it. It could be tomorrow… Well not tomorrow but maybe a month," Gigwise reveals.

Malay, whose real name is James Ho, added, “We've all been working hard. He's been working super hard. I feel like he's working harder than he's ever worked in his life," he continued. "I'm excited for everyone to hear it. I think people are going to be pleasantly surprised, for sure."

Continuing with the teasers, in April 2015, Frank Ocean posted on Tumblr saying that he has two versions of what could only be a potentially new album. The post said: “I got two versions. I got twoooo versions #ISSUE1 #ALBUM3 #JULY2015 #BOYSDONTCRY,” the image showed Ocean sat next to a stack of magazines. A spokesperson for the artist then said that the well anticipated album would be released in July 2015.

The album however, wasn’t released and all talk died down, until now. But, in February reports suggested that Ocean hosted a secret listening party. It was then believed that the tracks were put on Soundcloud but deleted straight after. So who knows, maybe this album is coming soon.
