The month-long exhibit "Historical Documentation of the Armenian Genocide" will open on Sunday, April 3 at the Worcester Public Library.

The ceremony will include a performance by the The Greater Worcester Armenian Chorale, the local premiere of the film "The Wind" starring Olympia Dukakis and Shirleyann Kaladjian, and remarks by Worcester Mayor Joseph M. Petty.

The exhibition includes government documents, official reports, communications, photographs, letters, books, magazine and newspaper articles that were published during the years of the Armenian Genocide from 1915 to 1923.

In "The Wind," two modern Armenian women are faced with an unexpected encounter from the past and with the unresolved legacy of the Armenian Genocide.

Upcoming events related to the exhibition at the library include the screening of the movie "The 100 Year Old Survivor" on April 5; and a lecture "Resisting Genocide from World War One to Today" by Khatchig Mouradian of Clark University’s Strassler Center for Holocaust and Genocide Studies on April 13.
