Pedro Pascal, who so flamboyantly played Oberyn Martell in Game of Thrones before meeting an infamously grisly end, has joined Matthew Vaughn’s Kingsman: The Golden Circle, Deadline said.

Pascal’s character is believed to be called Jack Daniels. Vaughn’s second installment of the stylish spy caper, the original of which grossed over $415 million for Fox, is casting up ahead of starting production later this year.

In addition to lead Taron Egerton and the returning Edward Holcroft, Halle Berry and Julianne Moore are also believed to be in the mix. Vaughn and Jane Goldman wrote the script for the sequel to Kingsman: The Secret Service.

In addition to his swashbuckling Martell, Pascal has also drawn acclaim for his role in Netflix’s Narcos as the dogged cop Javier Pena, hunting down notorious drug baron Pablo Escobar. The actor, repped by WME and Untitled Entertainment, also has Zhang Yimou’s eagerly-awaited U.S.-China co-pro The Great Wall in post-production. That pic, starring Matt Damon, Willem Defoe and Andy Lau, concerns a mystery surrounding the construction of the Great Wall in China. Legendary East is producing for Universal Pictures.

Vaughn and Egerton also have been having fun this week with the possible return of Colin Firth. Although his character, the dapper Harry Hart, was believed to have met his demise at the end of the first film, Egerton tweeted the words, “A message from an old friend,” with a link to a teaser poster that would imply he was in fact returning. The poster featured Hart’s spectacles with the words, “Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated.”
