Windows 10 anniv. update bringing Siri-a-like Cortana to Xbox One

That exciting Windows 10 Anniversary Update is coming to your Xbox One in either May or June... but only if you're a Preview member, Digital Spy said.

The Windows 10 Anniversary Update fully transforms your Xbox One into a developer kit with Xbox Dev Mode.

It also brings Siri-a-like voice assistant Cortana to Xbox One, which you can use to find games, challenges and whatnot.

Elsewhere, the Windows 10 Anniversary Update adds background music, a unified Xbox and Windows store, and much more.

Microsoft has already confirmed plans to discuss the update at E3, where it's likely to launch to the wider Xbox community, Digital Spy said.

Microsoft's E3 conference will take place on June 13 at 9.30am local time.

The company will talk about a new Forza game and is likely to showcase the likes of Gears of War 4, Halo Wars 2 and upcoming exclusives like Scalebound and ReCore.

It'll have a job to surpass last year's conference, which is when Microsoft announced backwards compatibility for Xbox One, Digital Spy said.
