A Karabakh serviceman, Hayk Minasyan received a gunshot wound in Azerbaijan's cross border fire on Saturday, April 23, at around 3:00 pm, Armenian Defense Ministry press secretary Artsrun Hovhannisyan said in a Facebook post.

Also Saturday, in the period between 3:55pm and 8:00pm, the Azerbaijani armed units intensively shelled the Armenian positions in the northeastern (Martakert), eastern (Askeran) and northern (Talish) directions of the contact line, using 60- and 82-mm mortars.

The Nagorno Karabakh Defense Army units took preventive steps to suppress the rival's aggression and continue controlling the situation on the contact line, the press secretary said.

As of Saturday evening, the situation on the frontline is calm, Hovhannisyan added.
