Vatican mass honors memory of Armenian Genocide victims

A mass commemorating the 101st anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was served in the Vatican’s St. Peters’ basilica on Saturday, April 24, Tert.am reports.

On April 12 last year, Pope Francis described the mass killing of Armenians as genocide.

During a special mass to mark the centenary of the mass killing, the pontiff referred to “the first genocide of the twentieth century that struck the Armenian people.”
