Deputy FM: No concessions can be discussed with shooting going on

Armenia’s Deputy Foreign Minister, ruled out the issue of territorial concessions in the context of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

As Shavarsh Kocharyan told reporters, the observation and strengthening of the 1994 and 1995 ceasefire deals are currently on the negotiating table.

“We’re now focusing on the 2011 suggestions put forward by the OSCE, edaling with the withdrawal of snipers, establishment of the investigation mechanisms for border incidents, as well as deployment of necessary equipment.”

“It’s all pretty obvious. How can peace talks and concessions even be on the agenda with the shooting going on?” he questioned.

As he stressed, in conclusion, both ceasefire breach and renewal of hostilities are unacceptable at the moment, Tert.am reports.
