The condition of passengers injured in a bus blast in Yerevan is assessed as stable, Armenia's health ministry said.

The 14 and 15-yeal-old teens underwent surgery, with doctors managing to save a limb of one of them.

Both of them were transferred to the intensive care unit.

Addressing reporters, Health Minister Armen Muradyan said the lives of all the injured passengers are out of danger.

The kids underwent a necessary post-operative examination, their condition assessed as critical but stable.

The teens have already regained consciousness but one of them is still placed on mechanical ventilation. They are expected to undergo rehabilitation and plastic surgeries, doctors said.

2 people were killed and 8 more were injured on Monday, April 25, at around 9:50pm, as a blast hit a bus on Yerevan, Armenia's Halabyan street.

According to a PanARMENIAN.Net correspondent, an item inside a Bogdan bus exploded.

The driver of the vehicle survived the blast, suggesting the blast originated in the middle of the bus.

Extensive investigative measures are underway in the framework of the criminal case opened following the explosion of a passenger bus in Armenia’s capital, Yerevan.

In the interests of the investigation, however, the details are not disclosed, the Investigative Committee said as it answered a question about whether there are detainees or suspects at the moment.
