Viggo Mortensen escapes paradise in “Captain Fantastic” trailer

What happen if a bunch of kids are raised in a total isolation from the world? "Captain Fantastic", starring Viggo Mortensen, explores just that possibility and reveals how the kids react once they finally are out there, AceShowbiz reports.

Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, a father devoted to raising his six kids with a rigorous physical and intellectual education is forced to leave his paradise and re-enter society, beginning a journey that challenges his idea of what it means to be a parent.

The first trailer of the family dramedy introduces the kind of life they lead and how the mother's death affects the whole family. The father decides to bury his wife in New Mexico, taking all of his children to the city for the first time. The mother's family comes into picture, arguing how the children should get proper education and social interaction.

Mortensen stars as the family patriarch, supported by Kathryn Hahn, Steve Zahn and Frank Langella in the cast list. The film was premiered at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year and is heading to Cannes soon. It is scheduled to hit theaters across U.S. on July 8.
