PACE calls for lifting sanctions on Turkish Cyprus
Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly (PACE) President René van der Linden said that economic isolations imposed on Turkish Cyprus must be lifted and that European Union should keep its promises on the matter and support Turkish Cypriots, reports Cihan News Agency-World

PACE President is in Cyprus for a three-day visit to have bilateral meetings with presidents of both sides of the divided island. Linden said that a solution was necessary for Cyprus problem and that it would be to the interest of all sides in the discord.

Turkey has its responsibilities as well, said the parliamentarian, adding that the dispute could be solved under the UN and with the support of the European Union.
