Armenia hasn’t put an end to Karabakh negotiations process: MP

The negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict haven't been completely halted, an MP from the ruling Republican Party, leader of RPA faction said Saturday, May 7.

Asked if Armenia still expects negotiations to offer a settlement for the conflict, Vahram Baghdasaryan said: “If it weren't for certain expectations, we'd have a whole different sequence of steps.”

“We haven’t put a stop to the talks, though it is possible.”

Commenting on RPA’s stance on Karabakh’s recognition, Baghdasaryan said, “we never denied such a necessity following the events of April.”

According to him, the need for Karabakh’s recognition is driven by Azerbaijan’s violations of even the conditional ceasefire.

Baghdasaryan added, in conclusoin, that Armenia should be patient not to make any diplomatic mistakes.
