Sales agent WestEnd Films has sold the rights to Kieran Darcy Smith’s “By Way of Helena”, starring Woody Harrelson and Liam Hemsworth, to multiple territories worldwide, including China, Japan, Korea and Russia, Variety reports.

Lionsgate is releasing the film in the U.S. on June 24. WestEnd is showing the film to distributors in Cannes.

The latest buyers include Independent (Australia, New Zealand and Latin America), Filmax (Spain), Ascot Elite (Switzerland), Feelgood (Greece), Toho (Japan), Mountain Pic (Korea), DDDream (China), NuMetro (South Africa), Red Mist (East and West Africa), ECS (Middle East), Sinema TV (Turkey), Russian Report (Russia), HBO (Eastern Europe pay TV) and Cinesky (airlines), in addition to the previously announced deal with Weltkino (Germany).

The revenge thriller centers on a Texas Ranger sent to uncover the secret behind a slew of gruesome murders. The film also stars Alice Braga and Emory Cohen. Matt Cook wrote the screenplay and executive produces.

The movie was developed by David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman, who are producing the film under their Mandeville Films banner. Atomic Entertainment’s Adam Rosenfelt and Maureen Meulen are producing alongside Mandeville, and are also financing. Nathalie Marciano is executive producing.

WestEnd’s Cannes line-up also includes “Old Boys,” a comedy by Toby MacDonald starring Alex Lawther and Pauline Etienne, “Saving Neta,” a drama by Nir Bergman, “Flammable Children,” a comedy by Stephan Elliott, starring Kylie Minogue and Guy Pearce, “Dancer,” a documentary about ballet superstar Sergei Polunin by Steven Cantor (screening at the market in Cannes), “Shepherds and Butchers” by Oliver Schmitz, starring Steve Coogan and Andrea Riseborough (screening at the market in Cannes), “Una” by Benedict Andrews, starring Rooney Mara and Ben Mendelsohn, “Hollow in the Land” by Scooter Corkle, and “Mules” by Borkur Sigthorsson.
