Vienna talks offer good prospect for inclusive talks on Karabakh: Baku

Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov on Tuesday, May 17 agreed with his Russian counterpart that the summit in Vienna between the Armenian and Azeri Presidents yielded a good opportunity to start comprehensive talks on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement, Azerbaijani media report.

President Serzh Sargsyan and his Azerbaijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev participated in a meeting on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement in Vienna on Monday, May 16. The summit was the first one since the escalation in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict zone.

“The talks must start as soon as possible to produce tangible results, long anticipated by people in the region and the international community,” he said.
