The Georgian Defense Ministry avoids to comment on the possible deployment of American MDS radar station in a country of Southern Caucasus. "We will not comment on that information yet. If something changes during the day we will make an official statement," said a representative of Georgian Defense Ministry answering the question if Tbilisi holds negotiations with the U.S. over deploying a MDS radar station in her territory.

In his part Foreign Relations Committee Chairman of Georgian Parliament Konstantin Gabashvili denies opinions of Russian experts that the American radar may be deployed in Georgian territory. Earlier during a press conference in Tbilisi Foreign Minister Gela Bezhuashvili denied information of a number of Russian media as if the United States has offered to deploy an American MDS radar station in Georgian territory. "We have not received such a request and we have not received any official messages in this regard," Bezhuashvili stressed, "Novosti Gruzia" reports.

Meanwhile Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan denied information concerning the possible deployment of American MDS radar in its territory. Answering a journalist's question that if such a decision is possible in future, a representative of Azeri Defense Ministry said that he could not comment on such questions, "Vesti" reports.
