United Communist Party of Armenia not to participate in elections
"Prosperous Armenia" party presented its proportional list of candidates to the Armenian CEC. The list contains 112 names at the head of famous businessman and lawmaker Gagik Tsaroukian.

The United Labor Party (ULP) has also presented its proportional list of candidates to the Central Electoral Commission. The list contains 85 names. Leader of ULP Gurgen Arsenian said that his party will principally participate in elections only on proportional system.

United Communist Party (UCP) of Armenia will not take part in parliamentary elections of May 12. This decision was made by UCP Central Committee, but the main cause is unknown. Participation of party members in the lists of other parties is also unlikely to happen.

Communist Party of Armenia will participate in coming parliamentary elections individually. During party's plenary session, which was held on February, the party list was approved. It contains 50 names. The lists opens with 70-year-old Ruben Tovmasyan, the Secretary General of the Communist Party of Armenia.
