Baku reconsiders expansion of OSCE mandate in Karabakh

The deputy chief of Azerbaijani presidential administration said that his country was in favor of a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict and didn’t mind the expansion of the OSCE mandate and investigation of border incidents, local media outlets report.

Earlier, commenting on the Vienna-hosted meeting between the Armenian and Azerbaijani Presidents, Novruz Mammadov said Azerbaijan assumed no commitments in terms of expanding the existing Office of the Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office.

"The move won’t bring significant changes in [current Personal Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office] Andrzey Kasprzyk's powers,” he said then.

"We only agreed to strengthen the ceasefire for future talks.”
