VivaCell-MTS, Fuller Center continue housing project in Aragatsotn province

Owing to the partnership between VivaCell-MTS and Fuller Center for Housing, the housing problem of 10 families of the village of Melikgyugh, Ujan, Kakavadzor, Shgharshik and Getap in Armenia's Aragatsotn province was solved in 2015.

This year, four more families, two of which are from Avan community, have been included in the project.

The heads and employees of collaborating organizations participated in the construction of the half-built house of the Sargsyan family in the village of Avan.

''All these years I have been dreaming about having a house. The children grew, so did our expenses, and I was unable to finish the construction. I am grateful to all those whose support enables us to live in decent conditions,'' said Norik Sargsyan, the father of the family.

“Hardships and problems make us stronger,” VivaCell-MTS General Manager Ralph Yirikian said. “In my opinion, this project has an important mission: the idea of uniting for a cause as a personal volunteering initiative. I appreciate our fruitful cooperation with Fuller Center for Housing and the personal investment of our employees in the implementation of the project.”

“We have been implementing the housing program with VivaCell-MTS for five years now. In the framework of the program, the housing problem of over a hundred families has been solved. Though the project targets families living in border villages, we are trying to support other families living in poor housing conditions too,” said Fuller Center for Housing President Ashot Yeghiazaryan.

In 2016, VivaCell-MTS allocated about AMD 105 million for the housing project (in 2015, AMD 100 million was invested). By the end of the year, the number of the families assisted in the framework of the housing project since 2007 will reach 134.
