The fact of organizing international events in Azerbaijan is disgraceful, a spokesperson for the Nagorno Karabakh President said Friday, May 27, Tert.am reports.

“We have repeatedly stated that by pursuing such a policy, the international community and a number of civilized states in fact encourage aggression,” Davit Babayan said.

“For a state like Azerbaijan – that shuts the RFE/RL and OSCE offices, heroizes the murderer who killed a sleeping Armenian officer with an axe, honors people that disfigure dead bodies and behead elderly people – hosting the European Games, Global Forum of the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations is nothing but disgrace.”

“Azerbaijan shows restraint during the events; yet, curbing Baku’s aggression requires tremendous efforts afterwards,” Babayan added.

“Those supporting terrorists will some day become their victims.”

Also, Babayan said, the situation on the contact line remains relatively calm.
