Manchester United seek to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan

Manchester United are after Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Borussia Dortmund midfielder and the captain of the Armenian national team, the Daily Star said citing a report by Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio.

The Armenian ace has been linked with Arsenal all summer.

Starsport also revealed earlier that Tottenham are keen on the player, but Chelsea are not in the running.

Mkhitaryan's contract is up next summer and Bild report he won't be signing an extension.

Mkhitaryan scored 23 goals and had 32 assists in all competitions last season for Dortmund.

Di Marzio claim Italian giants Juventus has offered £3m-a-year ($4.3 million) to the player - but Arsenal have offered more.

Their report adds United and Tottenham have also looked into a potential deal, the Daily Star said.
