Armenia, China liberalize air communication

The government of Armenia on Thursday, June 2 approved a new agreement on air communication with China, Panorama.am reports.

According to Economy Minister Artsvik Minasyan, the amended version of the agreement envisages abolishing restrictions on the number of airlines, frequency of flights, routes and prices.

“Also, articles on ensuring fair and equal competition between the airlines, recognition of certificates and licenses, customer charges, intermodal transportation, ground handling will be added,” Minasyan said.

“The article on aviation security has been reconsidered and modernized, and provisions ensuring the states’ responsibility to guarantee flight safety have been established.”
