Good Universe buys thriller “Role Play” from Allan Loeb

Good Universe is ready for some Role Play. The company has bought an original pitch from writer/producer Allan Loeb and is fast-tracking development, The Hollywood Reporter said.

Role Play is a thriller centering on a woman who is seduced by a man, but nothing is as it seems.

Loeb will executive produce with Good Universe’s Joe Drake, Nathan Kahane and Erin Westerman, who brought in the project and will oversee for the company. It's a reunion for Loeb with Kahane and Drake, who previously collaborated on The Switch, starring Jennifer Aniston and Jason Bateman.

Loeb currently has two hot projects in the works: He wrote and produced New Line's Collateral Beauty, which stars Will Smith, Keira Knightley, Kate Winslet, Helen Mirren and Edward Norton; and he also penned the script for sci-fi romance The Space Between Us, which stars Asa Butterfield, Britt Robertson and Gary Oldman. The busy writer's credits also include Just Go With It, 21 and Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. He is repped by CAA, Anonymous and Sean Marks.
