Armenia to stick to Vienna proposals during fresh Karabakh talks: RPA

Armenia never avoids meetings on the Nagorno Karabakh settlement, still, we don’t have great expectations from the upcoming summit in Saint Petersburg, a ruling Republican Party MP said Sunday, June 19.

The Kremlin confirmed on June 10 that a tripartite summit will be held in St Petersburg to tackle the conflict. The Armenian, Russian, Azerbaijani Presidents, as well as the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs will participate in the meeting.

“The President is set to insist on the implementation of the proposals he made during a previous meeting in Vienna on May 16,” Vahram Baghdasaryan said.

“Refusing to meet would mean giving up on a desire and determination to settle the conflict peacefully, through negotiations.”
