Status quo in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict must be overcome, but first the Armenian troops need to be withdrawn from the region, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said at a meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin on Monday, June 20.
“As Russia and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs said, the status quo is unacceptable,” Aliyev said.
Earlier, Putin met with Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan.
