U.S. appreciates partnership with Armenia, eyes further cooperation

The United States appreciates partnership with Armenia and looks to further enhance cooperation with the country, Deputy Assistant Secretary in the Bureau of European and Eurasian Affairs Bridget A. Brink said Monday, June 27 in Yerevan, Armenia.

As she noted at the meeting with Armenia’s Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian, the list of issues of cooperation between the two countries is gradually expanding.

“We’ll weigh in on Armenia-U.S. business and trade ties, the latest developments in the Nagorno Karabakh conflict settlement and the OSCE Minsk Group Co-chairs’ efforts in this context,” Brink said.

Nalbandian said, in turn, that progress has recently been registered in the relations between the two countries.

Talking about the current stage of the Karabakh conflict settlement, the parties stressed the importance of implementing the agreements reached at meetings in Vienna and Saint Petersburg.

Also, the officials discussed issues of regional and international importance.
