Armenia wins 2016 FIBA European Championship For Small Countries

Armenia's national basketball team on Sunday, July 3 won the 2016 FIBA European Championship For Small Countries.

With a score of 79:71, the men's team defeated current champion Andorra in all the four quarters.

Armenians were participating in the tournament for the first time, with Andre Spight Mkrtchyan claiming the title of the best player of the match.

Armenia thus won the opportunity to participate in the qualifying campaign of the European Championship finals.
