Man United, Henrikh Mkhiaryan agree €12.5 mln annual salary

Manchester United will pay around €100 million in total for Henrikh Mkhitaryan after the midfielder's contract details were revealed, Goal reports.

Borussia Dortmund on Saturday, July 2 confirmed that the club and Mkhitaryan will go their separate ways this summer. Following an intensive round of discussions, BVB accepted the Armenian international's wish to join the England club next season.

German newspaper Bild claims the Armenia international will have a €42m (£35m) fee and pocket a €8m (£6.2m) signing-on bonus.

Mkhitaryan has also agreed an annual salary of €12.5 million (£10m) on a four-year deal, which translates to around £200,000-a-week in wages.

In a statement, BVB said Saturday that“Manchester made us a very attractive offer. Had we refused it, the player would have left us on a free transfer in 2017 and we would only have delayed the matter of a replacement for a year."
