Luc Besson’s “Valerian” sets comic-con Hall H appearance

Luc Besson is heading back to Comic-Con with Valerian but unlike last year, the Lucy director is showing a lot more than sneak peek sketches and has a much bigger stage, Deadline said.

With stars Dane DeHaan, Cara Delevingne in tow, EuropaCorp founder will be taking to the high profile and cavernous Hall H to show exclusive footage from the upcoming sc-fi epic. As any attendee of the fanboy and fangirl confab knows, a Hall H appearance means you are in the mega-leagues, Deadline said.

The Valerian panel is set for SDCC 2016’ opening day of July 21 at 1PM in the much desired multi-thousand seater hall. Having skipped CineEurope to have an SDCC exclusive, this presentation comes exactly one year to the day before the $180 million 3D epic is released on July 21, 2017. Valerian is based on the 1967 French graphic novel series from writers Pierre Christin and Jean-Claude Mézières. Less than 2-weeks ago, the director shared this via twitter:

Editing finished!!!! 2hours 12 min 47 sec Now time for VFX. 2734 shots and 300 days to go!!!
