Apple unveils iOS 10, macOS Sierra betas to the public

Apple's next operating system is arriving in its full form later this year, but users can get a taste of what's to come after iOS 10 and macOS Sierra betas were made available to the public on July 7, Digital Spy reports

iOS 10 features major updates to messages and the lock screen, plus sharp new design changes.

Users may wish to download the beta version of the software on a secondary device, due to risk of bugs.

iOS 10 will be the tenth major release for Apple's Android-rivalling platform.

The new software is compatible with existing and upcoming iPhone and iPad devices, and big changes are expected to mark a decade of the mobile.

Meanwhile, it previously emerged that iOS 10 will encourage iPhone users to donate their organs.
