Taylor Swift is the top-earning entertainer in the world, according to Forbes' annual celebrity 100 list, Gigwise said.

The musician earned $170 million from June 2015 to June 2016, meaning she’s leap-frogged last year’s highest-paid musician Katy Perry, who banked a measly $135 million over the past year.

It’s not difficult to figure out why Swift’s earnings have risen - after releasing one of 2014’s most successful albums, her 1989 world tour grossed $200 million - and that's before taking into account partnerships with big brands like Keds, Diet Coke and Apple, Gigwise said.

Swift’s ex boyfriend Calvin Harris also made it onto the list, but the full 100 won’t be published until this afternoon.

Last year’s winner was Floyd Mayweather, who earned $300 million after his fight with Manny Pacquiao.
