Samsung unveiled its plans to hold a Note event in New York City, slated for August 2; it's for the Note 7, Engadget reports.

According to Samsung, the name of the device will "minimize confusion" and "complement our Galaxy S7 and S7 edge" handsets, thus unifying the product portfolio.

Not much is known about the phone, though rumors suggest a 5.7-inch QHD Super AMOLED display handset with a 12-megapixel rear camera and 64GB of storage.
