Armenia attaches great importance to France’s involvement and efforts, as a Co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group together with Russia and the United States, in the process of a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, President Serzh Sargsyan said Thursday, July 14.

Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to French President François Hollande on the country’s National Holiday.

Referring to France’s position on the Genocide, the Armenian President said: “Your personal stance on the issue of criminalizing the Genocide denial is highly appreciated in Armenia; it once again underscores France’s and personally your dedication to the universal human values, particularly to the international fight aimed at the prevention of crimes against humanity.”

Also, Sargsyan hailed the high-level bilateral relations and the atmosphere of mutual trust between the two countries.

Also Thursday, Sargsyan visited the Embassy of France in Yerevan to congratulate Ambassador Jean-Francois Charpentier on the holiday.
