Magnitude 5 quake hits Azerbaijan, tremors felt in Armenia, Karabakh

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale hit an area in Azerbaijan's Imishli district on August 1 at approximately 08:47 pm (local Baku time, GMT+4), Azerbaijan's Seismology Center told Trend.

The tremors were felt on the territory of the Nagorno Karabakh Repiblic, specifically in the city on Stepanakert (level 3-4) as well as in Armenia – Syunik, Vayots Dzor, Gegharkunik and Yerevan (level 2-3).

No victims or damages were reported.
