Heritage opposition party deputy chair handed 2-month jail term

Deputy chair of Heritage opposition party Armen Martirosyan was handed a 2-month jail term.

As Martirosyan’s lawyer Givi Hovhannisyan stated, the politician was accused of organization of and participation in mass public disorders, Aysor.am said.

In the aftermath of Yerevan police station siege, the authorities opened an investigation into the organization of and participation in mass public disorder, and have arrested 23 people.

Also given 2-month jail terms on the same charges were Heritage opposition party spokesman David Sanasaryan and Heritage board member Hovsep Khurshudyan.
