On April 15 Gilles Catoire, Mayor Clichy la Garenne French town, and Armenia's Ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian in the center of the town opened the "April 24, 1915" square, dedicated to victims of the Armenian Genocide in 1915. Representatives of O-de-Sen department authorities, leaders of Armenian organizations in France and residents of the town participated in the solemn ceremony. Expressing gratitude to the authorities of Clichy la Garenne for opening the square, Armenia's Ambassador to France Eduard Nalbandian noted, memory of the Armenian Genocide victims is not only a tribute and solidarity, but also a call to the whole humanity to display vigilance and constantly lead a struggle against repetition of such outrages. "Denial of the Armenian Genocide and distortion of history became the continuation of this crime against humanity," the Armenian diplomat stressed.

The same day in the museum of town's veterans opened an exhibition titled "1915-2005: The First Genocide of the 20th Century", the RA MFA Press Office reports.
