“Stranger Things” hit show releases soundtrack on Spotify, Apple Music

Stranger Things has become widly popular and one of the most exciting shows around. But it's not just the creepy storylines, or the shock horror of it all, it's also the soundtrack that people are really starting to appreciate, Gigwise said,

The show's producers seem to be aware of the opportunity too, as they have now released the show's soundtrack, produced by the Duffer Brothers, in a first 36 track volume. Michael Stein and Kyle Dixon have described the process of getting their relatively unknown band, S U R V I V E on the show's soundtrack.

Dixon said: "The directors were previously fans of S U R V I V E. They used a song from our first LP in a trailer they made to pitch their concept to Netflix. Once the show was picked up, they reached out to see if we were available to score the show,"

He continued: "We discussed having a classic tone and feel to the music for the show but being reserved enough that it wasn't ’80s cheese, while offering a refreshing quality so that felt modern," Stein added. "This was one of the qualities that drew them to our music in the first place. Having a familiarity with classic synths worked, but with an overall forward thinking approach."

The second part of the pair's soundtrack is set to be released digitally on the 19 August, whilst it will be physically released on 23 September.
