Evanescence's Amy Lee to release children's album

Evanescence’s Amy Lee is set to release a children’s album, Dream Too Much - and she’s just revealed the title track, Gigwise reports.

A far cry from her hard rock reputation, the kids’ album will comprise 12 songs, and will be released as an Amazon Music exclusive on 30 September.

As well as a handful of original songs, the LP will also include Sesame Street classic ‘Rubber Duckie’, The Beatles’ ‘Hello Goodbye’ and ’50s R&B song ‘Goodnight My Love’.

Lee made the album with her father, who is also a musician, and was inspired by her two-year-old son, Jack. "We've been saying, even if we're the only ones who ever heard it ... it was worth it because it means so much to us as a family and we love it," she told Rolling Stone.

”So, I'm very proud of it and it was very fulfilling to be able to do that together. ... I'm always looking for ways that I can expand myself creatively and this was a surprise. This kind of came out of a very random place and a very pure place. It was just for ourselves and it turned into something really beautiful.”
