Manchester United newbie, midfielder and captain of the Armenian national team Henrikh Mkhitaryan will miss the country's World Cup qualifier against Denmark on Sunday, September 4 after coming off at half time during their friendly with Czech Republic on Wednesday night.
The Armenia international had a collision with Marek Sukhy and was withdrawn during the interval, which sparked concern regarding a serious injury.
After Mkhitaryan passed a medical check-up at a hospital in the Czech Republic, Armenia's football federation said the results were not encouraging.
According to the federation, a week or 10 days are necessary for his recovery which means Mkhitaryan will miss the Denmark-Armenia match.
