Armenian President, Georgian PM talk cooperation, bilateral ties

Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan and Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili on Monday, September 5 met in Yerevan to discuss bilateral ties, security issues and cooperation in a number of sectors.

Sargsyan said the strong cooperation between the two states enables the South Caucasus countries to bring relations to a whole new level.

Kvirikashvili said, in turn, that friendly relations with Armenia are important not just for Georgia, but for the whole region in general.

At the meeting, the two also discussed issues of mutual interest.

Earlier, Kvirikashvili visited Tsitsernakaberd Armenian genocide memorial to pay tribute to the memory of the 1.5 million victims.
