Foreign Minister Nalbandian attends CIS council session in Bishkek

Armenia’s acting Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Friday, September 16 participated in the session of the CIS Foreign Ministers council in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan.

Issues concerning the enhancement of the organization’s performance as well as its modernization in line with existing challenges were high on the agenda.

During the session, the foreign policy chiefs of CIS member states discussed ways to develop relations in spheres like culture, education, judicial system, emergency situations and cyber security.

Also, the ministers agreed on a dozen new draft documents to later be adopted or confirmed by the CIS heads of state.

The next Foreign Ministers council session is slated for 2017 in Tashkent.
