Armenia, Russia look to expand trade and economic ties

Armenian Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan on Thursday, October 27 met with his Russian colleague Dmitry Medvedev in Minsk to discuss the deepening of bilateral trade and economic relations.

An Armenian delegation led by Karapetyan is currently in Belarus on a working visit.

Hailing the strategic-allied relations between the two countries, Karapetyan and Medvedev stressed the importance of deepening trade and economic ties in view of Armenia and Russia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The premiers on Thursday participated in the session of the Eurasian intergovernmental council in the Belarusian capital.
