Oskanian: Only after solution of Karabakh's self-determination issue it will be possible to refer to other issues
Armenia's priority during negotiations on the Nagorno Karabakh conflict resolution is the issue of Nagorno Karabakh people's right to self-determination, Armenian Foreign Minister Vartan Oskanian stated today to journalists. He said only after final agreement of this issue it will be possible to refer to other points. "Without solving that issue we will abstain from talks over other subjects," he underlined.

Commenting on CoE Sec. Gen. Terry Davis's statement that he hopes on Karabakh problem resolution till presidential elections in Azerbaijan and Armenia, the RA FM noted "it is desirable, but it is difficult to make concrete predictions".

Answering the question how the participation of American and Russian Co-Chairs' is justified in the negotiation process in the context of their statements on "recognizing the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan, Vartan Oskanian stated, the mediators adhere to a common viewpoint concerning Nagorno Karabakh, which is the following: the conflict must be settled through negotiations. "At the same time any solution without any restrictions is possible," he added.
