PlayStation VR might have just been released, but it seems nothing can stop the HTC Vive winning tons of awards, Digital Spy said.

It's just earned yet another one as VR Headset of the Year at the Wareable Awards.

Despite strong competition from the Highly Commended Sony PlayStation VR, the HTC Vive and its innovative controllers just edged it out for the win.

The Apple Watch 2 has also been crowned one of the best gadgets of the year, bagging two titles from the evening: Smartwatch of the Year and the prized overall award of Wearable of the Year at the end of the night.

It's the first year for the Wareable Awards and the invite-only affair was held in the Shoreditch Town Hall on October 27.
