FilmNation boards Jake Gyllenhaal - Carey Mulligan drama “Wildlife”

FilmNation Entertainment has come on board the Jake Gyllenhaal-Carey Mulligan drama “Wildlife”, with shooting on Paul Dano’s directing debut to start on Saturday, Оctober 29, Variety has learned exclusively.

FilmNation will launch foreign sales next week on the June Pictures title, based on the Richard Ford novel, at the American Film Market. WME is handling domestic sales.

Ed Oxenbould of “The Visit” is also starring. The film is being produced by Andrew Duncan and Alex Saks for June Pictures, and Gyllenhaal and Riva Marker for Nine Stories. Oren Moverman, Ann Ruark, and Dano will also produce, while Zoe Kazan and Eddie Vaisman are executive producing.

Set in 1960’s Montana, the story focuses on a boy who witnesses his parents’ marriage falling apart after his mom finds another man. Dano is directing from a script he wrote with Zoe Kazan.
